Privacy
Unofficial fan site, not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
This page describes what SixTrack itself stores. It is not a promise about Rockstar, Take-Two, YouTube, or the host. The site is offered as-is.
Progress checks
Playthrough checkmarks stay in this browser, in local storage, under the key sixtrack.progress.v1. The app does not send those checks to the server. There is no visitor account. The database has unused tables reserved for a possible later account, and the running site does not write playthrough checks to them.
Community tips
If you post a tip on a guide, SixTrack stores the text (up to 500 characters), the display name you type or “Anonymous”, the guide it belongs to, and the time. That record is kept in the PostgreSQL database and shown on the guide. The site does not ask for an email address to post a tip.
Voting creates a random id in this browser (sixtrack.voter.v1) and sends it when the guide loads tips and when you vote, so the same browser is not counted twice on one tip. The id is stored with the vote. It is not your name, and it is not an account. Voting again with the same id removes that vote.
Other data the app keeps
Cited public figures and milestone notes are operator-entered records in the same database. They are published sources, not information about visitors. The sales admin page can keep an admin token in this browser’s session storage (sixtrack.admin-token) after someone types it there. That token is for the operator. It is not a visitor profile.
If the operator turns on the optional site password, the browser sends that password with requests so the gate can check it. SixTrack does not create an account from it. The public site leaves that gate off unless the operator sets it.
What this app does not do
SixTrack does not sell personal data. The app does not include an advertising or affiliate program, and it does not load a third-party analytics script. It does not set its own cookies.
The site is hosted on Render. The database is PostgreSQL there. Render handles the network connection as the host. When official trailers are shown, the page embeds them from youtube-nocookie.com. Loading that frame is a request to YouTube, under YouTube’s own policy. Turning ROCKSTAR_ASSETS off hides those embeds, the Grand Theft Auto VI logo, and the official stills.
